I don’t think I’ve read any of the contenders, but I’m still excited, as I thought The Graveyard Book was wonderful.

Houghton Mifflin Harcourt halts acquisitions

The recession has officially hit the publishing houses. 
Houghton Mifflin Harcourt has “temporarily stopped acquiring manuscripts,” according to Publishers Weekly.
